Jess Huxman began his role as Communication Strategist with Mennonite Foundation of Canada in October 2011.

Jess has held numerous roles in the communication field, working as a broadcast journalist and television producer, as an Assistant Professor at Wichita State University, and as Director of Content at KPTS, the PBS affiliate in Wichita, Kansas. He was named Wichita Marketer of the Year in 2010 by the Wichita chapter of The American Marketing Association. He served as Executive Producer on the KPTS documentary, "Black & Gold: Remembering the WSU Plane Crash,” which received numerous awards including a regional Emmy nomination.

Jess is frequently asked to provide consultation and training on media relations, social media, storytelling and video production.

Huxman is a graduate of Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas and holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Kansas State University.

Jesse and his wife, Susan, moved to Waterloo, Ontario, in 2011 from Wichita, Kansas, where they were active members of Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church.
